Owners often say when first starting training “It’s really me you need to train!” and in a very positive sense this is true. The role of an appropriately qualified trainer / behaviourist is to help you understand your dog's needs, wants and emotions, and how to interpret their behaviour (communications), as well as to coach you in how to communicate effectively with your dog, and how to implement different management and training techniques that support desirable outcomes for you both.

It doesn’t matter:

  • What breed or crossbreed your dog is

  • Whether they are male, female, neutered or entire

  • Whether your dog is confident, boisterous, nervous or reserved

  • If you’ve been best friends for years or have just met

  • How old your dog is…or how old you are!

We can all learn new tricks and develop our knowledge, skills and expertise.

Our approach is kind, compassionate and reward-based, to help you build a secure bond and clear lines of communication with your dog, achieve your training goals without stress and anxiety, and develop the enjoyable and successful partnership you've always wanted with your dog.

What clients say

“Storm and I first met Sara at puppy classes. Sara made both of us feel very much at home and relaxed. I was a little nervous due to Storm’s sheer size and strength, but Sara was so helpful and the techniques she taught us were invaluable. Sara also came to our house to give us some 121 training which has helped make our beautiful Storm what he is today.

Sara looks at all aspects of training, not only the dog but us humans too, no easy task! Her confidence and knowledge are second to none. Due to her relaxed nature Storm absolutely loved Sara. Five star dog trainer.”
